I met an old friend by chance in a shop and was able to give her a hug. I was so good even with masks on.

The seeds of Scarlet's mystery beans have all germinated and have ben potted on today and are patiently waiting in the cold frame to harden off. I have to read back and write down which bean is good for what.

Swapped some Mint cuttings for a book on Creating Green roofs and Living Walls. Don't know why I wanted it as I won't be doing either - but I can't resist a book for free.

Not sure I shared this? My lovely neighbour over the road made me a garden gate. I never used the old one as it was a bit broken but have struggled with the kitchen being done and access onto the road for my garden bin has been difficult.
He was over the moon with the result.....I know because he also asked me to send a photo of it to his daughter! He has his own key so he can come in to the garden to collect the dog. Makes a huge difference to how my shady border looks
It's fabulous to have the best neighbours.

Met up with two of my work colleagues today for lunch, it as great seeing each other again it must be over 6 months since we last seen each other in the flesh rather than on a computer screen
Coffee keeps me busy until it’s acceptable to drink whiskey.

A couple of times now I've seen new trees being planted along the edges of arable fields and some more today.
Delivery of really nice herb plants (the smell opening the box, just wow!) and a free packet of gherkin seeds. How did they know I'd had a 100% failure this year?
