I am paricularily aiming this thread at Veggie who appears to be the yellow sticker Queen.

I do my best, but I am not sure I am making the best out of my yellow sticker forays? I was at Morries after 8.00pm last night and did ok but wondered whether late night shopping closer to closing time each day would make the best use of the yellow sticker quest?

Aldi seem sto be orange stickers with 30% off, but when its best to gain these savings I am not sure?

Lidl seems to reduce to either 20p or 70p?

Not sure about other shops i don't frequent very much.

Tips woud be aopreciated!

          

This surprising item in the random sowing bed has me flummoxed. I know it but can't put a name to it. For some reason, balsam keeps running round in my head.
Can anyone put me out of my misery please

I think June may be my favourite gardening month.
We still have some of the spring freshness, most of the sowing and transplanting has been done with just the week in week out successional sowing to be done, plus the Big Job of leek planting! 
In July the produce starts to come thick and fast and there's much less time to simply sit or wander and enjoy the garden. By August it's a battle to keep on top of the harvesting and the watering and much of the garden has become a brown and largely flowerless wasteland, dahlias and zinnias aside! But there is the promise of aubergines and chillies as the month progresses. 
September and October are good again, lots and lots of produce, hopefully some rain and no early frosts.
I have no idea the point of this post, it just crossed my mind, watching the first flowers appear on the tomatoes, how much promise June brings.

So I have finally managed to get some foxgloves to grow in my garden (no idea why they've not found their own way here). Here is a picture of one particularly large specimen and I was wondering if anyone has a larger one anywhere. I haven't measured it but I'm 6'5" and standing next to it this is up to the top of my forehead so probably 6'3 minimum. The rest are a much more standard height.

just bought reduced cucurma “Longa” in Homebase.
Two rhizomes in a bag for 20p instead of £4.45
Anybody grown this and got any tips?
I actually got three bags and they only charged me forty pence.

bought this in Homebase (with the compost) 
Was labelled pelargonium Frank Headley which it clearly isn’t.
Not only is it not Frank Headley, but it’s not a pelargonium either.
Should know what it is - but don’t!
Cost me 20p so a bargain in anyone’s book no matter what it is.

Confession  - I'm no good with houseplants but I'd like to be better.

I've had a couple of Amaryllis in flower on the hall table for months - and they really cheered me up. Now that they're finished I thought I'd see if I could keep a flowering houseplant on that table all year round. All that I have at the moment are a tiny Cineraria and a scented pelargonium - both in the greenhouse. I'll bring one indoors tomorrow and see what else I can grow to keep up the succession.

Anyone else joining me?

Hello gardeners! Hope I understand it right that this section is for questions about everything related with the gardening. I'm new on the forum but I am so glad to be here because of amazing people 

My question is about greenhouse. I am planning to grow tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage and other veggies. I want to eat healthy, make juice with it - to grow the perfect food for me and family that we cpuld it without visiting shops at all. So what of them need to grow in the greenhouse? What is your advice for the first greenhouse for a newbie? I think about having one of these small greenhouses, but maybe I need to pay attention on the bigger ones?

What tips do you know about choosing a greenhouse? What is your experience of using them?

Does anyone have a Passata machine for processing tomatoes - removing the skin and seeds in the process?

I hate the little bits of skin that get left after cooking tomatoes for soups/sauces and I hate even more the process of peeling tomatoes .
Is it worth investing in a  machine or would it be another gadget for the back of the cupboard?
