My first ruby tiger moth.
Carefully removed from the polytunnel after a couple of quick photos so I could ID him.

Bumblebees both having a good feed after I rescued from the tunnel on with a stem of sage flowers.

Not the best photo. 7 spot ladybird sat in the centre of a sunflower. That’s just starting to bud.
There was a definite double take when I saw it. First one in 13 years.

A face you really don't want to see peering through the hedge into your garden!

Just a boar on his own, rather than the entire family like last time, so not much sign of rooting around.
Hedgehog ignoring his cat food in the hedgiehouse and scoffing the bird bread.
Came across this behind a shed.

It is the middle of a grass snake. It did show its head briefly but I was too slow. It then slithered away into a pile of wood.
Wow, how cool Mark!
Not my idea of a good thing, but interesting in your garden Mark.
Common hawker ( I think male )
His lunch I think is a male highland darter

I was stood in front of the buddleia doing my butterfly count and this beauty turned up for a feed.
Butterfly count went out the window. And I just had the pleasure of watching this amazing beautiful creature for as long as it stayed. Hummingbird hawk moth .
