Our rain stopped at lunch time. Any other showers are travelling towards Veggie and avoiding us completely. Is it something I said?
I think those showers have got lost en route, JJB.
We had some overnight rain, apparently. Its made absolutely NO difference to the waterbutts or the plants. I only know we had some because there are a few sparkly drops on some leaves (and it wasn't the dogs!!).
It continues coolish (mid 20s) and sunny followed by thunderstorms - 9mm in an hour.
Only 2 days ago, everywhere here was parched with brown grass verges. Now sitting in 2nd deluge in 3 days. Thunder, lightning and over 1" of rain coming down. Water is running down the drive and filling the patio, hopefully the drains will cope. Sweltering during the day 29C.
Still no rain or thunderstorms in sunshiny South Wales!
Wall to wall sunshine this morning, forecast high of 29°, no rain in the foreseeable future.
Rain, hail and thunder yesterday evening, it gave the garden a good soaking Big Grin
I dreamt last night that I could hear rain pitter-pattering on the roof, for a moment I was really happy. Then I realised it was the pond pump.Sad
In other news, still no rain, not even in the forecast and GH1 went down to a low of 17.4 last night - with all the windows open. No wonder I was having feverish dreams!
Same again although a bit warmer, closer to 30 followed by ferocious thunderstorms dumping 26mm in just two bursts.
