Our lost parcel of bare root plants arrived today thanks to the persistence of my friend's husband (we put together a joint order) and despite spending almost 3 weeks in transit only 2 of the 16 plants have rotted.
Flowers on my Wisteria!!!! it was covered with buds earlier and then the frost killed them all so I chopped off all the. Branches and today I found at least 12 flower buds!!
Spotting the first courgette flowers - and one is a female on a Parthenon courgette which is self pollinating. Big Grin

There are now 2 courgettes and they're large enough to pick - but I'm going to give them a few more days while I decide how to cook them. Big Grin
What's made me happy is that I've write the bulk of my last essay of the study year. Without my intro and conclusion, nor have I yet included an external source of information, but I only have three hundred words left to play with. I will happily reduce that down on Friday, write the last few bits, then do the last two parts of the submission. I'm so happy to nearly see the back of that essay Smile
So much compost!!!

And my neighbour spotted me lugging bag after bag up my driveway and came out to help me get it all safely stowed away. So grateful for nice neighbours.

Also, I have clearly spent so much time on Duolingo recently that my phone has decided I must be a native speaker of the language I'm learning (very slowly). It has therefore decided to show me certain menus in it. I have *no* idea what they say, but at least it reflects my efforts!
Which language are you learning Pros, respect whatever it is.
Well, I initially wanted to learn Urdu as that would be quite useful in work, but Duolingo doesn't offer that. So I chose another language at random, expecting to waste 15 minutes on it then never look at the app again. I ended up liking it though and kept at it. I had a gap of a few months when I moved and had my work exam, but back to learning again now. I'm still at absolute beginner level though, so too embarrassed to say what it is as there's at least one person who speaks it here. Maybe when I get a little better!
^^^ That narrows it down to French, Irish and Swedish as far as I know.
