I saved some bijou MT, they then got wet and the seeds were brown rather than green. So I tested the brown ones for viability and 8 out of 10 popped. Planted them out in a trough yesterday. They've got two chances over winter in the gh. Sowed some carrots and chard in MFB, a bit late in the day perhaps but nothing ventured, etc.

Sowed some sweet peas, King Size Navy Blue and Fragrantissima. I'd tried autumn sowing before and, although they germinated well, they were all eaten by mice once I popped them out in the mini greenhouse to grow on.

I noticed I had four seed packets so thought I'd try again since I can sow again in later winter/early spring in case this lot fails to get through the winter.

Sowed some Spring cabbage. On the packet it said sow August so they've a bit of catching up to do. Packet says sow by 2018 so they may decide not to try.

Not sowing, but I pricked out 24 leeklets into modules. Smile These were leek grass grown from a seed head and are now sitting on a wide windowsill in the kitchen. Hopefully I will be able to keep them there until planting out as the last time I did this I put them in the greenhouse and they got frozen into the modules which I think is why they rapidly ran to seed when planted out? We shall see! Rolleyes
