Perennial sweet peas could be interesting. They grow wild near the sand dunes by me so they don't seem to mind being battered by the wind.

I might give them a try. They definitely didn’t like life in a big pot. Had them 2 years never flowered. Gave them to a friend. They might do better planted straight into the ground once bigger enough. I do like them.
Builder that would like to go play in the garden.
