Morning all. Cold and windy today (what's new) so outside work will have to take a back seat. Rolleyes I now have my Mooli seeds and yesterday received my ball headed spring cabbage seeds. Cool They arrived from Amazon in a huge cardboard carton with a teeny weeny packet of seeds inside. Rolleyes I'll try and get both these sown this week.

I have my car to wash and polish and to clean out of all the carp in it before Thursdays MOT but that will have to wait until tomorrow.

Today I am going to attack the front bedroom which has become a dumping ground. God knows what I will find in there. Wish me luck. Big Grin

Morning all

Welcome to August! Uncomfortable nights sleep due to the heat following yesterdays 30°+ temperatures.

Was pleased to come home yesterday to a cheque from my pension provider for underpayment but was a litlle downhearted when I read the accompanying letter properly to find It would be liable to tax, which I was obliged to declare....well thats 40% of it gone Sad.

Have a wonderful weekend if you still have them or for those like me who have a 7 day weekend have fun.

Morning, I’ve not been on for a bit so hope you are all well!
Started off sunny this morning but it has dulled down, it’s not been a very good July weather wise has it...very chilly and damp. Anyhoo hope you all have a great day no matter the weather. If you have sunshine, care to share? Smile

Morning all! We woke up this morning to typical Pyrenean drizzle - soaks everything apart from the ground! But a nice change from blistering heat. We're used to it now but the nights are still pretty horrible, especally as the cat has ripped the fly screen AGAIN! The choice is boil or be eaten alive by mosquitos!!
I've paddled around in the drizzle and fed the pots and much of the potager this morning. This afternoon, being the 1st of August I'll start work on the first of the hedges. or maybe just take a nap Smile
Have a good Saturday everyone, and I hope the return to or postponement of release from lockdowns isn't causing too much grief.

Morning, hope this finds you well!! Spent almost 3 hours in a traffic jam yesterday due to flooding. Why does this country grind to a halt due to weather? It’s the UK, we have weather!! Other than that had a great extended weekend.
Domestics on the cards today, now where to start? Coffee anyone? Big Grin
Enjoy your day everyone! x

It's just started raining here so I'm going to try and focus and make something pretty. Kiln is on heating up.

Had a roof leak yesterday so was up on the roof (and no I wasn't singing, before you ask) to sort it this morning and just got it finished and now starting to rain so will get a test quicker than I really wanted it while getting access ready I had to move several pots of fuchsia and some of them look as 8f they have been chilled, not what you would expect for the first week of August

Artnoon All! Rain's just arrived so I've come indoors - don't want to get wet and shrink! I'm short enough now. Smile
Jobs to do are - cook beetroot for pickling, pod broad beans, sow spinach and chard (in the GH or bring the trays into the kitchen).
Thinks - if I put the beetroot to cook I can do the other jobs at the same time.
Wonder how long beetroot take to cook in the pressure cooker? Best find that out first!
Have fun Smile
