Another day of putting up plasterboard for Bob & Glen. They are so close to being finished. After a holiday cottage change over. I wasn’t back on taping. When this build is finished, if I never see any tape of any sort ever again I’ll be very happy. Before we start this. I had no idea how many different types of tape are used in construction. But no brain melting research today. Also washed the living room lampshade. Once that’s dry I can bring light & shade together and take photos.

This morning was re doing some of the sound proofing insulation. It had been removed to add more noggins . Found a small but constant weep from the bathroom sink cold supply. So Bob fixed that after his holiday home checks. This afternoon was more filling & taping for me.

Another day of mostly filling and taping for me. Had a look at lampshade to find it’s still not dry, so still no photos for JJB. Bob had the idea of a notice board. To try to help with the “I should have done that” “that still needs doing” “what’s next”. That keep us awake at night.

. I can’t see them working that well because it still involves Bob remembering to write stuff down and to look at what he’s written down . There’s already a lot more post it notes stuck on there, since the photo was taken.
We also had our meeting with the kitchen designer today. Very similar to the design I’d done already, just a little bit better

. You will notice lots of gaps. That’s because all appliances, sink, taps & work top are coming from different locations.
The actual green of the doors isn’t as dark as the computer generated green. Now waiting for our worktop samples to arrive.

Every day, you're a little bit closer to completion - and moving in!! Not long now.

Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without.

I've still got my plan of action somewhere? with rough costs and timescale from when I bought my delapidated house many moons ago. It was five years of weekend work before I actually got it to a state of readiness to move into and even then it was a last minute rush as the tied flat I was living in prior to it was due to be knocked down!

You're moving in leaps and bounds now, at least a lot of the jobs are in the dry, that must be a treat.

Still a lot to do outside. Still need to raise the ground level to most of the front & one side. Lower the back & other sides. Put a ramp up to the front door. Steps at the back. And put solar panels up.
