I always take the veg out of plastic bags. It makes them sweat. If I want to store them. I put some in paper bags/cardboard boxes iin dustbins in the shed.

Thought so! Cool I've even thought about 'unbagging' them and putting them outside in a tray. I have done this with the Japanese onions (which aren't supposed to store very well!) and have them in a tray, oen to the elements on the decking at rear of house. When, or if I need an onion they are handy to retreive and have not so far rotted. Some are even growing new roots.

I've just ordered a Too Good To Go food collecion from Aldi on Christmas Eve. Wonder what I'll be eating for Christmas? Cost £3.30. No expense spared for a special occasion. Big Grin
People who've bought them before say that they're normally good value as the shop will be closed for the following two days..........but, you may get a lot of salad! Mr Greedy Hotbin will be happy!

I may still end up with beans on toast. Lettuce on toast doesn't have the same appeal. Big Grin

IN today some Dog treats ............and, when I went to collect them I was asked whether I was a vegetarian (because of the Veggie in my FB name). I said that I didn't eat meat but knew someone who did! He gave me the meat items from a Harrods Gift Hamper! A 900g Spiced Mustard ham, British Iberian Air-Dried Ham (60g), British Iberian Pork Saucisson (135g) and, for me, a Buffalo Blue Cheese with Port & cranberries(300g).
Apparently, one of his clients always sends him a hamper at Christmas and they are both vegetarian - and didn't want the meat items to be wasted! Always happy to help. Big Grin
