Its not a unicorn or a cat! However, The Anemoi structure to the left of it is interesting -its a Rotary Wind Tower. Useless fact coming up - Anemos is Greek for Wind and the word is the root of Anemone aka Windflower. One of the few Greek words I remember from those heady days when I was trying to learn the language.

^^^^^^^^^^ And here was me thinking they just hadn't got round to fitting the windmill blades yet? Rolleyes
I was fishing diretcly opposite a 'Proper' wind mill geneator that was situated at the other side of the river..They are huge and you could here the whoosh whoosh as the blades turned. In the past I have parked up the motorhome and slept by the river. The whoosh whoosh helped send me to sleep! Smile

That's right up P's street.  He'd be more interested in the tower than the 'octopus' or the Greek.

I found a couple of  links and apparently the 'octopus' represents a steam train.

So it does, it was so obvious I missed it, maybe P would like it.

Its not an octopus, its a train trying to run on mangled rails. Its a tribute to the once mighty steam railway before the great storm of '78 that uprooted the  track and split the engine and its carriages apart. Haven't you read about the huge rescue operation that was required to bring the passengers down from the top of the track??

No, neither have I.

Changing "track".............today is Transplant Tuesday, so I planted about 20 ex-supermarket spring onions that I've had rooting up in a jar in the kitchen. They're now in a tub in GH1.
I moved another Physalis plant from the garden into GH1 and gave it a haircut. I have 3 plants in there now, all with fruit.
Shuffled some of the tubs around as I want to put a little "blowaway" in there to give the seedlings a little more protection. Not sure what condition the blowaway is in as its been in the garage for a couple of years, Think I bought it when Wilko were closing down! May find out tomorrow. Wink

Tidied up the lettuce growing in my GH border.

Emptied the bucket under my leaky auto vent.
