Made a sriracha type chilli sauce. That’s 90% of the chilli harvest used up.

Made some Mint Sauce concentrate. Need to add some more mint to fill the jar.

I made 4 - 5 lb blackcurrant jam. Now where on earth am I going to store it. P says my shelves were never made to carry such weight.

You have reminded me I need to harvest blackcurrants, that's if the birds haven't feasted on them? Blackcurrant jam is my favourite with whole blackcurrants in it (not keen on the jelly)

Made eight jars of blackcurrant jam. I like the idea of storing externally so I don't clutter up my shelves. Shame the original pantry in the house has been turned into a downstairs loo!

I've got some apple chutney on the go. I've got it simmering in the slow cooker.
No measuements just added a few glugs of apple cider vinegar then topped up with apple pieces to ouhly 3/4 full. Topped it up with diced onion and finished off with a handfull of sultanas (45p for a kilo at Mories). Spices added were tumeric, ginger and star anise. After it had cooked a bit and dropped down I added some sugar.
It's bubbling away nicely now and I will soon have a taste and see if I need to add anything else.
The apples are from my garden and a couple of onions were from the allotment so a very cheap chutney to make!
I am hoping to be able to use it mainly with pork chops, belly pork and a pork joint instead of my usual bramley apple sauce?
