Sorry to hear of your troubles JJb, as Bren says, very easily done. My car is petrol but my motorhome is diesel. I have to be super vigilant when filling either!

Harvested a carrier bag  of onions from the allotment. I must say, my plan of leaving them in the ground and harvestting as required has worked out well! They are fresh and have full roots whereas some of the ones in storgage are going mouldy! It's taken me 70 years to work this out,but they do say that every day is a learning eperience! Big Grin

Sorry to read your tale, JJB. My first thought was How Fuelish, there's no Fuel like an old Fuel" but I thought that was unsympathetic so I didn't say it!!
My neighbour, who owns a back street service station told me that he has a couple of misfuelled cars to deal with every week. Its so easy to do. My last car was a diesel and I stuck a post-it note under the filler cap in my new car to remind me it was petrol. Five years later, I don't have the note but I still have to double check which pump I'm using.

Planted the lime pips that I was given recently in a pot of compost. They've been soaking in water for a couple of days - as per instructions. Not keeping my fingers crossed for these!

Kato and I visited Helen's grave this christmas day! There was a gentleman of the road (don'r want to call him a tramp or hobo) sitting under a covered in area eating somthing. As I got closer I realised it was a Christmas dinner which had been given to him by someone from the old folks home nearby. I wished him Merry Christmas and tried to give him some money but he wouldn't accept it. "Give it to the grandbairns" he said I" don't need it". I chatted for a while then  left him to enjoy his Christmas dinner before it got cold. I came away with a deep respect for him..

I usually use limes instead of lemons because they have no pips! I didn't realisee you could get limes with pips? Unless of course you mean a lime (Tilia Platyphlyllos) tree seeds?

These are Key Limes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Key_lime. They seem to have come from the Corona beer company.

Key lime pie used to be a favourite,  I can't say I ever used key limes though.

Today I wrote out chilli growing instructions. Someone Bob knows from the pheasant shoot asked, because he struggles with them. When he sees how much information I’ve given him and links to other information. He may wish he hadn’t asked. It felt good writing it. Lots of things came flooding back, that I thought I’d forgotten. Makes me really want to sow chilli seeds now. Unfortunately that is one thing that isn’t growing again next year. No where suitable to start them off.

I spent this morining helping my Son move into temporary accomodation until the house is buying goes through the completion process. After that I did a bit of shopping (mainly fo Kato's needs) and after that spent the rest of daylight hours under my Motorhome fitting my diesel heater. I took tank off, emptied old diesel and flushed it before replacing. I also fitted new diesel pump and purchased wiring and soldering gun+ solder to complete wiring.
I am sick of staring up at the bottom of motorhome so I am going to have a day off tomorrow and do anything but crawl under the motorhome! Rolleyes
