^^^ The Starbucks wrap was OK microwaved.
The bones were not a success though - once Spud found it hidden in Ted's bed, he wouldn't let anyone near it - so, regrettably I've had to take it away. I'll see if I can find a big dog, who's an only that would like it. The bone that's still wrapped has a use by date of November 2025!

IN today came a bag of dog kibble (silly word), 3 tins of mackerel and a pack of buckwheat.
OUT went a bag of dog stuff (coats, collars, leads and toys) plus the 2 Bones. I gave them to my brother for his 2 dogs. Anything he doesn't want he'll take to the dog's home where he's a volunteer walker.

IN today came a bag of dog treats, including some hand made dog biscuits from a Danish bakery in Cardiff. I can't imagine how much these cost!
Most of the dog treats and the bird food that's I'm given are from the mother of one of the girls on the local Free site. Apparently, her dog and her birds are fussy eaters!! Mine definitely aren't.
The Free site on FB covers my Postcode area so pickups are quite local. Some of my contacts offer me stuff without bothering to post it on FB because they know that I'll never say No and will always turn up at the time agreed. That's how I know the Prawn Lady and the dog treat lady. There's also the Tortoise Lady who often brings her stuff to me as her Mum lives nearby. I have a couple of other regulars too. Its a great group, I'd be poorer without it!.

A hotchpotch of FREE stuff today
Some time ago I collected a large slow cooker with a "sous vide" setting (still haven't used it or know what it is!!). The lady who gave it to me is moving house today (lovely weather for it ;( ) and she messaged me to say that they had found a rubber seal which goes under the lid when "sous vide-ing).
Then I collected 2 kits for growing Lime trees. Sounds grand but its a hessian bag with some pips, a jiffy disk, labels and instructions. Seems to be a promotion from Corona. She also gave me some small glazed pots which I'll use to start the seeds in.
Next up, the Prawn Lady. I had to earn these though by taking her to Aldi. Still a bargain.
She gave me 2 bags of salad potatoes, baby chestnut mushrooms, rainbow carrots, a giant leek, celery, fresh figs, chives, prawns x 2, 4 bottles of milk, bread rolls and 8 fresh cream Chocolate eclairs.

IN came a carrier bag of dry dog food - not liked by a golden retriever but greatly enjoyed by my pups.
Also IN - more food from the Prawn Lady. Bread, Milk, Emmental cheese, yogurts, Mozzarella, cheesecake, Breaded cod X 2 packs, tuna & sweetcorn spread, Veggie mince, fresh figs, salad leaves, 2 bags of cut rosemary (which I'll use as cuttings).
OUT to the Prawn Lady went some Christmas cushion covers, place mats and gift bags. No use for those here.

More challenging food from the Prawn Lady. Nine bags of baby leaf spinach!! Two bags of salad leaves and a big Cos lettuce. Sweet potatoes, parsnips, pomegranate seeds, Mozzarella and Emmentaal cheese & Yeo valley yogurt.
The Hotbin and the wormeries are dining on spinach & salad tonight.

One of my regulars has just messaged to say that she's clearing out her freezer for Christmas and for a house move. Do I want the frozen food? Of course I said Yes!!
I wonder what it'll be? Hope its nothing like the contents of my freezer - old veg from years past, bread that has dried out, things that really shouldn't be frozen but I can't bear to bin.
All will be revealed when I collect it this afternoon.
Anyone like to guess what it will be??
