Went fishing for last day this year.(season ends November 30th) Not back until 22nd March next year. Caught nowt but still enjoyed being the only one at the water's edge. Bitterly cold but even spotted a bit of sunshine peeping out from the clouds now and again! Smile

Pulled up the last tomato plant Sad
Took a couple of Taunton Deane perennial kale cuttings and stuck them in the old tomato compost in the GH.
Cut down some old raspberry canes and pulled up some brambles.
Paddled in the old pond to pick watercress.
Returned to the house to thaw out my fingers and toes.

Yesterday, grocery shopped, researched how to plant elephant garlic and babbington leeks. Today guess what, planting the aforesaid bulbils. It's sunny too.

You have just reminded me I need to do the same with cuttings of my Austurian tree cabbage to see if they will take? I  can't really grumble as it will soon be the forth year since sowing, but a few more wouldn't go amiss! Rolleyes

Planted the bulbils, I'm not sure I've planted the babbingtons the right way up though. The top of the big black pot and module storage box has been a dumping ground for used trays, pots & modules all summer. It was a sunny day so I bit the bullet. Cleared the top of all stuff, leaves a water, then opened it up to put stuff away. It was chaos inside. So sorted stuff into sizes and by clearing up time had some semblance of order. I'm exhausted, all that bending is going to tell on me.

The Boss

Ventured over the allotments this morning, rather depressing really, weeds everywhere. Hoping that I can start making improvements if my Cardiologist gives me the green light on Tuesday.

I did however clear one of the greenhouses ready for the spring but need to replace some of the glazing strip first.
