Settled on CS because I couldn't find a brix rating for BB, or for that matter any other supplier or info. Fearing that Black Beaute was a form of Black Butte and not very sweet. I had to google that. Now I know you’re talking about blackberry plants .

P often says I leave out the critical word in a sentence. Usually the one that explains what I'm talking about.

Have you ordered from Chris Bowers before? I've always liked their offerings but the reviews of their service can be...interesting.

I've not ordered from Roots or Chris Bowers before, not in the last 20 years anyway. I don't buy many perennial plants either online or at garden centres. I thought Chris Bowers were quite well respected in the fruit world but then again so is T&M among non gardeners nuff said.

The RHS Members' Seed Scheme is now open!
I've ordered seeds of ten perennials, a mixture of some old favourites and some new ones to try:
Acaena saccaticupula (blue goose leaf)
Campanula latifolia (giant bellflower)
Centaurea nigra (common knapweed)
Cephalaria gigantea (giant scabious)
Eryngium planum (blue eryngo)
Lysimachia ephemerum (willow-leaved loosestrife)
Rodgersia pinnata (featherleaf rodgersia)
Sanguisorba canadensis (white burnet)
Scabiosa columbaria subsp. ochroleuca (pale yellow scabious)
Silene flos-cuculi (ragged robin)
If they all grow I'm going to have to dig up more lawn.

Getting my head around the pronunciation of that lot is difficult enough without the growing of them.

I’ve acquired these
Don’t know what you call them . Cable marking stones/bricks ?
Anyway they’re pretty cool and will look good in the garden. Some will be put together as stepping stones on my cut flower bed. Others will be bed boards.

^^^ Like those! I want to play with them, fitting them together, making edges for things.
I used to collect bricks with brickwork names on, that i found on the sea shore, and had them built into a wall.
Here's info on the South Hook Kilmarnock pottery https://www.scottishbrickhistory.co.uk/s...-ayrshire/
