Shopped, lunched, harvested, dripped in the heat of the sun. Tomorrow is going to be even hotter.

Yesterday mowed, put more grass clippings round the leeks. Tidied tunnels.

Took 2 more raised beds to the plot this morning. Levelled and layered with tree clippings, cardboard, and grass clippings.

It did make me laugh one of the guys asked if I was building a bungalow Smile Smile

Cut down all the broad beans = Crimson Flowered and Wizard as they had some sort of rust on the leaves that I thought might progress to Chocolate Spot - or might not!!
Think they were overcrowded and not enough air circulating. Such as shame as I'd been feeling pleased with then as there have been no blackfly problems this year.
Picked all the pods first - going to be a mammorth task podding them all - will probably cook the smallest ones in their skins.

Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without.

Emptied out my aunts house with my son, brother and cousins. Then home to cut the grass which didn’t happen as it was still to damp, tidying up in poly tunnel, then weeding around the peas and potatoes. My son, daughter in law and my granddaughter called to visit and we all went to visit the local petting farm with my granddaughter she loved it.
Coffee keeps me busy until it’s acceptable to drink whiskey.

Attempted to clear the garage to make a bit of space for a freezer. I find it very difficult deciding what to throw and what to keep. Sort of succeeded but with dumps so difficult to access I now have piles of rubbish scattered around, waiting to go to the dump.

Good grief, another unpredicted day of drizzle and rain! That's life in the foothills of mountains for you.
I shall weed and cut some more hedges if it stops, or just stay in and read.
