We await to see what the lentil one is like. Could the pea one need a bit more flour or extra cooking to firm it up more?

I'm sure you're right, JJB. More flour/ less water. Not sure how much longer I could have cooked it for as I needed a scraper to get it out of the pan.
The vintage flour may have lost something over the years too (as we all do  ).
