Pruned more raspberries and hacked more brambles.
Fed the worms with a butternut squash that was at least a year old and had started to rot at the stalk end. It looked OK outside but inside was most peculiar. All the flesh that should have been yellow had become white whilst under the skin it was pinky red. Quite colourful really.

Transplanted a few tomato seedlings. My weakness of not being able to sacrifice a single seedling means I've far more than anticipated, but how can you choose which baby lives and which one dies?

Spent a couple of hours hacking at brambles - almost filled a wheelie bin. They're growing through some wire netting/fence and up into an elder bush. The wire needs to be removed so that I can use the ground for growing something I really really want! Don't ask me what as I haven't a clue.
There used to be a 3 station compost bin here so the ground should be quite fertile. If the size of the brambles are an indicator, it is!

Finally got around to firing up the chainsaw and chopping up the four scrounged pallets I had lingering at the top of the garden. Plenty of latts chopped to stick size ,so chopped enough to fill my stick box for now! Enough latts left to supply me with sticks until autumn and of course some bigger lumps to burn as well!

Continuing to pot up tomato, pepper and chilli seedlings as they outgrow their little starter pots.
Sowed various flowers for decoration and tortoise feeding.

Hope you're not bored by now, but I've been clearing brambles again. Need to regain this part of the garden.
I snapped a branch off a blackcurrant bush by accident so told it, it was a cutting and jabbed it in the ground.

Planted some Aquadulce broad beans and most of the onion sets that were in modules.
Cleared the weeds from the chicken run and started to pull up the Vinca that is growing outside the run (and invading it). Pesky stuff.
