You've reminded me that I had a Citroen 2CV once. You could take it apart in all sorts of ways - take the doors off, the back seat out, the roof off. Must be a Citroen thing. It was great fun!
You're doing well dismantling your car, Has the engine dried out now?
Center console trim and driver's seat installed today with a few scratching of heads and swearing, plus me walking into the raised boot lid and nearly knocking myself out
The engine started even when under water so I hope the bladdy thing will start once the battery goes back in.

Tomorrow might be D day for starting it up. Then it's getting the car to a garage for checking safety, and electric systems. Then I might get back in the garden weather permitting. I'm not sure either P or I want to go into the mechanic business. The insides are really just a huge jig saw puzzle (without the full picture).

My husband and his best friend were heavily into anything mechanical and were forever working on some car or bike. They set up their own "garage" and had some order forms printed in their name "P&S Motors". They managed to buy parts a lot cheaper that way.

Better born lucky than rich, so my Mum used to say. You're the luckiest person I know.

My car passed its MOT. My neighbour took it to his garage, did the MOT and drove it back home for me, all before 9.30! I hadn't even had breakfast.
