Mainly more of the same: shelling beans with my morning coffee then digging up a few potatoes and harvesting raspberries, courgettes and probably the last cucumber. Not that long ago, I would have dug up all the potatoes in an afternoon but now I have to pace it over several days.

Some weeding in the veg end of the garden, Watering GHs, Added a big bag of coffee grounds from a local cafe to the Hotbin.
Collected 3 past their best orchids from a local girl and had a tour of her house and garden. An interesting lady - she teaches guitar and piano and plays in a tribute band. She showed me her craft room - so many projects - made me feel quite inadequate. If you remember my question about using sheep fleeces - she was the link with the farmer.

Shelled many beans with help from the whole family. I dare say we had fun.

Carb someone please point me towards directions for cooking beans please? I've always used tinned brand (I know!) but I'd like to start using my homegrown beans that are either recently podded or dried. Take pity on me please!

A brake in the weather this afternoon so went to the plot. Moved a few big rocks I found while strimming yesterday. Weeded round the 2 trees I didn’t want to get to close to with the strimmer. Ones a funny shape the other is tiny. Still not fort my way into the tunnel to water. But everything had so much water while the cover was off , I’m not too concerned. Harvested things for tea. Started making plans for starting on the build again.

Day 2 in court was less arduous. Wednesday is a day off, back in on Thursday morning. Picked toms and raspberries

Lopped off more of the peach tree. Pulled up lots of nettles where there used to be veg beds thus proving that nettles grow where soil has been disturbed, (Learned that in my archaeology days). Cleared brambles from the old pond - again. Not sure what they mean - except wear gloves.
Picked the last Beth Alpha cucumbers (2) and cut down the plants as they were infested with whitefly. I'll start some Mangetout to plant in the pot later, since the canes are still in place.

Almost everything of mine is infested with whitefly.
Nothing I’ve tried seems to shift them!
