A trip to the £5 pantry tonight. Two of us went so it was a £10 shop - then we pooled our goodies. I have 6 punnets of strawberries to turn into jam, plus 8 flat peaches and some raspberries and blueberries. Oranges, tangerines, apples and an avocado too. On the vegetable side, a cabbage, 2 lettuce, loads of huge tomatoes, carrots, sweetcorn. Also some Quorn ready meals. I gifted the KFC chicken, crisps, pop, chocolate mini rolls, panini and tortillas.
On the way home, I blew my savings on takeaway fish and chips!!

There were a few cuddly toys exercising in the gym last night. Wink
I'm in the midst of making strawberry jam. Have to nip over to Morries to pick up some sugar and pectin soon. May turn the big tomatoes into something - chutney, sauce??? haven't decided yet. Perhaps a mixed fruit jam with the peaches and raspberries.

I seem to have missed telling you about some of the Freebies I have had lately! There was the candle making stuff and today, some wax burners and glasses that I'll be able to fill with wax and wicks, Also some cookery books and a garden journal which is too nice to write in and 2 loaves of sourdough bread as my bread ration.
During the week, we lent a computer charger to someone who'd left hers in work and couldn't get it back. She returned ours a few days later with a beautiful bouquet of flowers - sunflowers, roses, lilies, gypsophila and hypericum. Big Grin

I've been giving away beans and courgettes on free sites and to neighbours. Still plenty in the fridge.

A quiche, KFC chicken, dozen eggs, cheddar cheese, lots of raspberries, strawberries, nectarines, lemons, lettuce, salad leaves, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, avocados, lemon grass, bread, crisps, Pepsi, cookies, potatoes, a melon, sweetcorn, DFB, tinned tomatoes - that's all I can remember! two of us went so we had twice this amount but, it cost £10. Bargain. Big Grin
I refused the apples and courgettes - can you guess why? Wink

I've been giving away veggies. Recently got a Pikler triangle and ramp from one of the sites. Good indoor energy burner for non-park days.
