I’ve set up my grow light for my babies. They were starting to get leggy.
So Area 51 is up and running again .
Printed off lots of labels ready for splitting seed swap seeds. When the envelopes finally arrive, if they ever do!

Is there something you two want to tell us?

Started moving one of the DIY seed tables down to the far end. I'm going to turn it into a brassica cage by draping it with netting with a temporary top on it for raising seedlings.
Going to put some cardboard down on the grass, put the table on top, and cut holes in the cardboard for the plants. I don't have oodles of compost to spread on it so the plants will have to make do with a handful at planting time.
Also did some grass pulling and weeding. It was a pleasure to be out in the sun.

Planted two yellow sticker heather plants, one pink ,one white.
Fitted a new oil pressure pipe to Edward the Fergie, from the engine to the guage and charged his battery.

Spent most of the day in the Fruit Shop, on the Soft Fruit counter, pruning, de-brambling, tying in, getting excited seeing signs of life and promise of fruit filled punnets in summer.

Busy day today. Already had Kato for a long walk. 9.00am is Boot camp followed at 10.00 by a half hour Barre session then a half hour abs workout. Jump in the car after gym workout and travel 30 miles to my youngest sons house. My Daughter-in-Law is Chinese so has promised me a traditional Chinese lunch of 'I know not what'? If I get there early enough she has told me I can help prepare it.
After lunch and a bit of play with my grandkids its back home for Kato's second walk of the day.
To round it off nicely, the Toon are playing at 5.30 so I shall be glued to the set for the game!

Have a good day Vinny. I'm exhausted just reading it.
Yesterday I cut down the autumn raspberries, trimmed up some strawberries in pots and put them in the cold frame, dug over both borders in gh2, coming to the conclusion I'll have to reduce the soil height in there a bit as it's overflowing onto the centre path (even after installing edging). Today I'm making use of my bus pass and popping into town (without himself) for a pootle round.

Pinched out the tips of the sweet peas and snapdragons.
Sowed some broad beans, cress and pea shoots.
Potted up the Sungold tomato side shoots from the plant I've overwintered.

you’ve reminded me to similarly attend to my sweet peas.
