So most of my ranunculus have rooted in my new seed trays from containerwise. They really have made a different to compost use and space.

Im planting some of these up into my second greenhouse borders - I was hoping to plant some out imto my dahlia borders too - but its been so wet I cant lift yet. Heavy clay and its impossible to dig it at the moment.

Fingers crossed for some dry days next week...

So just a little update really.... its interesting for me to look back on things and to note how longs things took from seed to flower.

I havent done  much - kids have been home, and its rained forever- my patch is like skating in mud. Dahlias are still in.

Not got all my ranunculas in the greenhouse - potted on some ready to plant out maybe in january with fleece?

A mix of colours going in the greenhouse. The white ones are tiny compared to the pinks!

Im using lots of weed membrane - it does help with weeding and enables me to dig more borders. It geta picked up and reused.

I know I said last time - 4 deep was a little too wide for me, but growing under cover makes a huge difference so Im giving it a go - hoping the weed membrane makes it a little easier on weeding the back row.
Spacing -9inch. So approx 15 per row x4 - 60 per side. I would love to know how many flowers i get from this lot it but it's unlikely I would record picking them.

Some of my mint root cuttings - I dont think i would use any other method now. They popped up so quick. Ive done a couple of trays of each - chocolate, orange, the common apple? Buddleia (sp?) and the curly mint that i really love.

Greenhouse benches at the moment. Snapdragons haven't done so good... the OH accidentally knocked a tray off the greenhouse shelf when he decided to pop in for one minute to ask where something was!! I couldn't salvage them all.

My anemone bed - its been so warm that they are starting to flower. Im not sure how best to cover the to stop them being ravaged by the weather.... all ideas gratefully received
