I bought three Calathea houseplants as they had a huge variety of them in Lidl for £3.49 (I was very restrained and didn't buy one of each type!) Got them home and looked up how to care for them, only to find "fussy" in almost every guide for them that I could find!
Formerly self-contained, but expanding my gardening horizons beyond pots!

Bought seeds from Dobies
Zinnia Faberge
Sweet Peas Earl Grey
Sweet Peas Fire and Ice
Runner Beans Snowstorm
Runner Beans Tenderstar
There aren’t many in each packet -wish I’d seen Veggie’s post first - then I’d have compared PremierSeeds.

I think its just another name for ordinary physalis which are supposed to taste a bit like pineapples. Maybe to differentiate it from tomatillo?
I grow them every year, and, I've just eaten one I picked earlier.........doesn't really taste of pineapple but tropical.

I bought five houseplants from Tesco. A monstera and four begonias (various pink and silver leaves), reduced from £10 to £2/£3, each coming in a ceramic pot too. I haven't bought any houseplants in years so I was pleased with my little haul.

I often order stuff with a friend to save on postage... she asked this year did I want any daffs... not really I planted loads last year, but I caved in. She just sent a photo - I think I'm going to be busy!!
