Did some more work on the rockery until my back started to protest so I went weeding with a rake instead - (dragging a rake through creeping buttercups is like eating spaghetti. Long strings that need twirling round your fork.).
Cut out some buddleia branches and chopped them up as path mulch.
There's a young robin who seems determined to inspect the GHs. Yesterday he was in GH2, today in GH1. I have to make sure that the dogs can't get in as I doubt he would survive long - he seems a bit dopey. Big Grin

Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without.

No gardening today. Going to next door man's funeral. It took me ages to find something suitable to wear. Found a LBD in the dusty dark recesses of the wardrobe which I could actually get into. My legs might even see the light of day in public for the first time in years. Retirement does play havoc with your dress code Big Grin
Gardening is an excuse not to do housework

Pruned the vines.
Pricked out basil.
Potted on pot-grown chillies.
Weeded lettuce & brassicas waiting to be planted out and removed three small cwb caterpillars. Sneaky devils pretending to be a cabbage stalk!
Weeded cuttings in pots - goji have done well and I have enough hawthorn, goat willow and goji for a random hedge I'm planning.
Pruned the maples on the drive. The deer had already done one for me Sad

Actually it's not computer man but the other side neighbour, computer man and his wife are struggling  on and are as well as can be expected. Thanks for asking. It was a lovely service and as good as funerals can be, you came away smiling. Entering to the Shadows 'Wonderful Land' and leaving to Dire Straits 'Sultans of Swing' what's not to like. Smile
