2020 - Tell us what you did today

Yesterday did the Big Feed - almost all the veggies apart from legumes and all the pots. Armpitted tomatoes and started weedng the bits where the mulch has become too thin.
Snuck out for a motorcycle ride at the end of the afternoon over the Hourquette d'Ancizan (Tour de France followers will know it!); lots of traffic, mostly non-local. Tourism, the main economy hereabouts, is starting up again.

Planted out 20 mixed lettuces only 18 more to find a home for 

Glazed GH roof but rain stopped work thereafter. Picked first baby courgettes.

- Weeded UAT bed, basically this is a bed at the plot that I’ve experimented on this year, I let it go a bit so decided to try and take back control!

- Planted out some chard and kohl rabi (experimented planting through cardboard topped with grass clippings (I believe Vinny likes/uses this method)

- Continued painting the pallet collars which are being used as raised beds next year, number 5 now. This is a good way to finish all the half pots of fencing paint you have left over

- Sowed Turnips, Beetroot, and Paq Choi

- Picked up 5 more pallet collars

I went to the little asian supermarket and stocked up on noodles, soy sauce and spices in big bags. Then I took the dogs up to the allotment, strimmed loads of grass, weeded the BIG bed and admired my squashes that I sowed two weeks ago, almost all have popped up!

Potted up a new chilli. Hopefully it’ll recover from its journey quickly.

Fed more chillies, courgettes & asparagus
Pulled up a courgette plant was rotting at the base.
Planted out a red sunflower and some pak Choi
Harvested stuff, some of which has gone in the freezer.

Weeding the veg beds in horrible persistent drizzle that drenched me but didn't get through the foliage.

Nothing at all gardening related....just followed orders

Nothing gardening but will water in the poly tunnel later this evening
