2022 - Tonight's recipe

Salmon egg fried rice.

fish chips peas and tomatoes. The fish wasn't out of the garden.

2nd meal yesterday was a compilation of Spanish omelette made with leftover sliced cooked Jersey Royals with curly fries and fried chilli Haloumi.

Lunch will be mackerel with a garden salad then we're having Poached eggs on Marmite toast this evening.

This little beauty. my first courgette picked in 2022 and tonight, the first to be eaten.
Cooked in my favourite way, thinly sliced vertically, dipped in seasoned flour and shallow fried until brown and crispy. Served with very thin slivers of mature cheddar.

I could eat this every night of the year - hope that there'll be a few more meals like this. 

Egg & chips for me. Chilli sausage, egg & chips for him.

Pasta with a stir through tomato and olive sauce.I added a sliced red pepper, a chopped onion, a tin of salmon and a large handfull of jalapeno's.

Tortellini Minestrone soup mostly using store bought veg apart from my beans and herbs.

Tacos with home grown salad and a big chilli from the freezer.
