Since realising that the space at the back of the garden is perfect for a greenhouse or a polytunnel, I've not stopped smiling, honestly. Not even the stress of having a bathroom refit (prompted by leaky tiles/shower tray so the kitchen is getting damp) can dampen my spirits.
Since Faceplant, Freegle and gumtree had nothing of interest, I put my own advert on. It took a while to trick Faceplant since I wasn't actually selling anything, but eventually my advert was approved. A very kind lady got in touch saying she'd bought a B&Q greenhouse three years ago, but it never got put up as her son kept letting her down. I can have it for free, and she thinks it's 6x8 foot which is absolutely perfect! I'm going to see her tomorrow. I'm smiling from head to toe

Well done Sarriss. You can't beat a free GH.

Brilliant Sarriss, you'll have it up in time for this season I'm sure.

Same here, Bren, but mine had to be wiggled around trees. I have 4 GHs and only bought 1, and I moved that with me when I moved house 40 years ago.

I had to buy both of mine, 40yrs apart, but I wouldn't be without them the older one has been moved twice, once dismantled, once intact (without glass) first one cost £204 the second considerably more!

A phone call from my daughter in London to say she got a job as a consultant anesthetist at a London children's hospital.
