Today - collected a builder's bag of timber, ready cut to size for the fire and 3 exhausted Amaryllis bulbs in huge glass goblets.
The amaryllis came from the man who gave me the wooden fruit and veg a week or so ago. It was funny going to his house again - we picked up the conversation where we left it last time. Even his dog didn't bark at me today. I felt like part of the family.

Yesterday and today I've picked up a Spud sized dog bed and another IKEA changing table, now assembled and turned into a dog food storage and serving table.
Ordered 7 more free 2021 diaries.
Giving away an old, electric dehumidifier..........and the amaryllis look a lot perkier today.

Yesterday, picked up a beanbag, covered to look like a football (white with black patches) - the dogs love it.
The 7 x 2021 diaries were delivered and a man collected the dehumidifier.
Tomorrow, the council will be taking away the old double bed base that was in my "Book and seed library". Have to drag it out to the roadside tonight. Hope it doesn't rain! They're also taking a non-working dehumidifier so that's a bit more clutter going.

Gave away all the Chr****** wrapping paper, tags and gift boxes that had been lurking in the bottom of a cupboard - that I'll never use!
Also a roll of Wedding gift wrap and some Teach yourself Greek books will be collected soon.
More decluttering!!

Trying to remember all the recent freebies I've acquired ............lots of books, fiction and fact (Monty Don arrived today). a nesting set of 3 tables, a wifi keyboard and mouse, two coffee mugs with chickens on, toiletries including sisal wash bags for the soap offcuts, a clock with birds at every hour that make different bird calls (temperamental) and I've decluttered a Hi-fi tuner and some tortoise ornaments to someone in a Tortoise rescue society.............and I've met some really nice people along the way.

Got a message at 10.30 last night informing me I’d got 2 carpet runners from our local buy and sell group.
Was starting to give up hope because I’d been told someone else was interested and not heard from the seller for over 24 hours. They’re not free. But a very good price for nearly new runners and together they cover just over 5m. So they’re going to be perfect in my new hallway/ library.

I'm giving away stuff today...........a little wooden magazine rack thingy with a place for your glass of wine, a holder for the TV remote and of course, magazines underneath. Some books have been collected. So far 8 people want an IKEA table lamp - I'll choose someone at random this evening.
Tomorrow someone's picking up 8 little "apples" that were around the amaryllis that I acquired - they'll be good for Christmas wreaths -and she's having an address book that I won in the raffle to go back into the next raffle!
No interest so far in a kneeler chair. Fingers, or knees crossed.

^^^ The kneeler chair has been collected.
Today, I picked up a herb mincer and a cheese grater - both the sort where you put the produce in a little hopper and turn a handle...........then, onto the next pick up, a bit further up the road. Long story, but I'll try to be brief.
A friend wants to build a bar in his garden - even though he's teetotal. I'd offered to collect some glasses from the freebie site for him. I've never seen so many glasses - they covered the central island work surface. Glasses of all shapes and sizes, many branded ones or commemorating events. I didn't know where to start! The deciding factor was - I'd take all the branded ones and leave the plain ones for someone else.
Another freebie collector arrived for some casserole dishes and the owner started opening cupboard doors and pulling out drawers and saying "Do you want this? How about this?".
I was very restrained, all I took were 2 big bowls that will make great dog dishes and a Funky Veg kit sow by 06/21. They're a real rip-off - 5 tiny packets of seeds, 5 seed labels, 5 peat free pots and 5 Jiffy pellets. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Funky-Veg-Plant...B0060Y60YU. All in a box about 6 times bigger than necessary.
Meanwhile, I've been told there's an Open House on Saturday to clear everything that's left - as the house has been sold and has to be cleared. Soooooooootempting!!

I got one of those funky veg kits for Christmas a couple of years ago. I agree rip off! But my little brother wouldn’t of know that. I did enjoy the seeds in the kit.
You’ve gotta go to the house clearance .
