No rain here folks, brilliant sunshine and 18° at 9am. Already 31° in the GH, must sort out some thicker shading.
Coffee in bed then a potter round and prepare for visitors this afternoon. I'll have to hunt out some chairs and a table. Don't do much sitting in the garden at tables, if we're out we're either doing summat or sun worshipping on loungers.

Early start this morning, took delivery of new chest freezer at 6.30 am hopefully to store lots of stuff this year. Made a barrow full of potting mix and planted up some more tomatoes and sowed some more lettuce. Off to the allotment now to water poly tunnel and greenhouses, lot of rain last night so it will be interesting to see how the butts are.

Morning All
Day started well, dump run and home shopping delivery complete.
Popped down the plot just now and potted on some strawberry runners, cut the rest off apart from 3 – 4 more to pot.
Now for some home jobs as Mrs B off today!
Also last night saw on FB someone locally selling pallet collars, asked if he could get me 18 as a start!
Regards..........Danny

Just a quick hiya on the passing. Been pretty busy lately which is exhausting but good for me I think, both physically and mentally. At the allotment most days now, hopefully the last of the 'grunt' work will be finished soon then it will be all beds and planting after that.
Haven't had much of a chance to catch up on what you're all up to, I've been getting home at 7.30pm and going straight for a shower and bath, I haven't even had the inclination for wine!
Anyway, I hope you are all diddling away as you'd like and are as busy/relaxed as you want to be. x

What a wet evening! Within minutes the gutters were overflowing, the road became a stream, thunder rumbled and the waterbutts were brimming over....................
Glad I didn't waste time watering the pots today.
Nothing much memorable to tell you today..................there rarely is!
Hope you've all had the weather you desire today.

IT'S RAINING! YAY. Proper rain too, none of that drizzly stuff. Shame I spent an hour watering last night as the forecasters said this rain was going to miss us. . Unfortunately today is shopping day, I feel an umbrella coming on......

Morning all
We had a few heavy downpours overnight and everything will be well watered
I have no doubt the weeds will accelerate in growth before my crops though!
Have a wonderful day all

Morning all.
You'll hate me for asking this, but when will it stop raining?! The weather has been so bad in late May & June that there is more snow on Aneto (the highest peak in the Pyrenees) at the moment than there was in February.
Actually the answer is tonight with no more rain (apart from thunderstorms, and they can happen any day) for the next fortnight and temperatures that begin with a 2 and then even a 3. Happy, happy aubergines soon
And with soaked ground and loads a mulch the full water butts might last a few weeks. Just need to 'finish' weeding the borders before the clay bakes solid!
Now where did I put my shorts ... ?
