Raspberry cane advice

I'm highjacking Broadway's thread a bit so forgive me.

I have two fruit cages each with two rows of unknown unremarkable summer raspberries with the occasional autumn fruiting cane. None of which I paid for Smile I'm considering digging up one row and buying some autumn fruiting canes to replace them. Contemplating actually spending some money is rather unsettling, so I was hoping for your recommendation for a sweet large fruited autumn raspberry not worried what colour. I see Veggie likes Joan J.

Grew Autumn Bliss first but, after being introduced to Joan J. there was no going back. She's bigger fruited. Smile

Say I ultimately want approx 10ft row,  how many bare rooted plants? Don't necessarily  need a 10 ft row immediately.

So if we say 20" apart for each plant in your row then a 10' row would need 7 plants? I think my maths is right there.

or may be 6 if you leave 10" each end for the end canes to expand into.
