I'd be interested in the recipe (if there is one) SC. If yours are anything like my chutneys they tend to be made with instinct rather than instructions.

Good idea for a thread title. I haven't got much ready for Jams and chutney yet (Spring cabbage jam?) but when I have I will be looking on this thread for inspiration.

I don't tend to get too many strawberries these days - must be more mice and squirrels about. What I find makes an excellent jam is 1 part strawberry with 2 parts blackcurrant. I think it has a great taste. I had 400g strawberries so got 800g blackcurrants out of the freezer. cooked the strawberries and blackcurrants separately in the microwave then added all together with 1.1kg of sugar. back in microwave for about 10 minutes till temp was 104C and into jars. No need for pectin or anything else. Boiled over a bit as light is gone in microwave.

My favourite...you have to scroll quite far down the page for the recipe but I think it’s worth it!

Too many courgettes again! Can I have your favourite courgette chutney recipes please. I have a recipe I normally use which is rather sweet off the mumsnet pages but a change might be nice. When the toms come in properly I will definitely be trying SC's suggestion.

Hi all,
I'm looking for freezer jam recipes. Any recommendations for a blackberry recipe in particular?
Thanks!
