Good morning all
Feeling my aches and pains after my log delivery yesterday. It isn't ideal when I need to wheelbarrow logs from front to back of garden and some of them to long terms storage at the top of my sloped garden. Hopefully we will have a bit of warm weather from now on and the log pile won't go down too quickly.
I've had the dog for a walk and smelled someones bacon cooing for brekkie. I've got it into my head I need to cook and eat bacon so that's my next job.
Jobs for today include weeding of home garden, possibly cut the grass and plant up some wildflowers in my wildflower spot.
At the plot I need to plant out my Butternut Squash and Cucumbers.

Happy Tuesday!
I've watered the GHs, picked some strawbs and now its time to eat them with granola. Can you hear me crunching?
Have a good day, whatever you're doing!

Evening all, I spent an hour or 2 in the garden this evening weeding a flower bed, managed to break a branch off an Acer by accident but I have stripped it back and put it in rotting compound to see if I can get it to grow. Planted out a load of homegrown bedding plants to try put some colour in this bed.
Coffee keeps me busy until it’s acceptable to drink whiskey.

Evening all.
I cut my grass this morning and re-shaped my wild flower area by making a curved line with flour and cutting to the line.
Two of my potted wildflower plants appear to be groundsel, which I suppose is a wildflower. It will be strange planting it as I am forever hoe-ing it out of the allotment.
Took the three large bags of grass cuttings to the allotment after lunch along with three chilli plants my next door neighbour at home had given me.
At the allotment I planted out three Butternut squashes and three spare leggy cucumber plants. All plants were planted through cardboard with compost on top. The cucumbers were planted really deep because of their elongated stems.
Once planted, I spread the three large bags of grass cutting over the area they were planted in. The next time I cut the grass the cuttings will be added along both sides of my runner beans to keep the soil damp for them

Good morning G&G. It's Wednesday morning and it actually drizzling! Not enough to fill water butts but at least I won't need to water tonight SNAFU - having brought bags and bags of stones and flints from back garden to front ready to take to dump today, now everything is damp and slippery. Ah well, it's only water. Not very warm either at 14°, I think we've had our summer.

Good morning (just) GGers. Cool and damp again today - we are currntly on average 10 degrees colder than we should be, so the tomato tribe are growing more slowly than usual but on the plus side, my newly planted brassicas haven't been devestated by flea beetle for a change!
Off to work this afternoon - for various reasons we only have a handful of garden maintenance clients left - but that gives me more time (and fewer excuses) in my own garden!
Have a good day, all.

Morning Peeps. Cold and wet here so wont be running around outside like a headless chicken today. I'm beginning to get the first stirrings of 'allotment withdrawal' on the days I dont go there so I guess I'm hooked now lol.
Today should really be a house cleaning day but who wants to do that??!!! I might plant seeds instead. Have a good one!
