Daffodils in grass = Not a lawn.Smile
My bit of grass has snowdrops, crocus, daffs (short and tall) and bluebells. It doesn't see a mower until they've all died back. Its a great reason to not mow. Smile
We have only done one cut since last year and the daffs were still going. OH had to mow around them, to be honest he doesn't mind as they are mostly towards the edges and under the conker tree so growth isn't quite so fast there?
I don't plant them in the borders

I always used to but he moaned when I left a few tufts - if he can do a better job best let him get on with it!

The best way to get someone else to do something you dislike doing, is to do it so badly that they need to show you how much better they can do it.
I only painted a door and a radiator once.Wink

I can't moan too much at the OH, he has spent this month digging over my dahlias patch and a large border. He hates gardening, but he has dug it all over twice getting out the weeds and it's all nearly ready for planting.

The border in the garden had a large hedge that had died in places and lots of ivy roots in there too....there were a few shrubs but when he is asked to dig something, everything has to go Big Grin

Just joking, nothing to worry about, unless, has he ordered any paving slabs or mentioned a patio recently
