Yes cottage garden is on the right with a hedge on the road side.
You’ve got it exactly . I want to have to walk round to see what’s at the other end and in corners. Very good point about a winter/ evergreen bed , as well as dotted about.

I've often wondered who it was named after.

It doesn’t have to be fruit. Just something edible I can grow on the rabbit proof fencing around the veg garden. Also don’t mind the bunnies munching on it from the out side. If they’re brave enough to be in the vicinity of breeze then they probably deserve a little snack . How about Hops - you could make your own beer then.

My garden is an open layout....my husband won't let me touch the lawn. It really lets it down

Turns out I’ve got a couple of big big rocks to use in my garden .
Any ideas?
I’m not really a fan of rockeries.

Its hard to tell how big these rocks are as there is nothing for scale. I have a feeling they are very BIG and one person would struggle to pick one up?
If they are as big as I think they are, you could build a mini Stonehenge circle somewhere on the plot then charge people for coming to see it!
PS Are there any 'Henges' on Mull?

yes we have a stone circle in the village
It’s just one field over. You might recognise the mountain in the background .
