Considering the lard, sugar and carbs in a lardy cake the 'to die for' might be in the description literally
I could murder a warm lady cake with butter on!  (Another silly saying)

I’ve just learned to make them myself. Had my first homemade oatcakes last week & first oatcakes in 5+ year. Not a common thing outside Staffordshire.

I make oatcakes using sourdough,  the recipe makes  14 and they freeze fine.    We eat them topped with bacon, eggs, mushrooms and toms.
