Since I have become a carer for OH I do all the cooking. The one thing I do enjoy making and eating are PIES!
I think I have made all the usual, corned beef, steak, Ham n egg and I have a cheese and onion pie in the oven at the mo. I normally just google a recipe for whatever I have in the cupboard.
I was just wondering what were peoples 'Go-to' pies that were cheap and easy to make? They don't have to be savoury as I quite like sweet pastries and fruit as well.
Ta very much in anticipation.

Hey Vinny
I've seen you mention Ham n Egg pie a few times and been totally baffled, probably cause I'm a southerner
Are you talking about something similar to a pork pie?

I like a steak & ale pie. Chicken pie. Game pie. Apple pie (to be honest I prefer crumble). Nothing very exciting I’m afraid. What about quiche as you obviously are a massive pasty fan . I enjoyed the courgette quiche I did back in the summer.

Are you talking about something similar to a pork pie? Ham, eggs and cheese in a pie crust Danny. Usually cooked using an old dinner plate but sometimes using those disposable aluminium pie dishes if I have any or I want to freeze it.

Not a great fan of quiches although home made ones have got to be better than that shop bought rubbish.

Sorry my two favourite pies don't have pastry, Fish, and Sheperd's.
I also love steak and kidney pudding.
Pastry pies I'd have to say white meat therefore chicken and chorizo, turkey and stilton (both could include leeks)
Regards..........Danny
