If you are sending one to me put a stamped addressed envelope in with a card of your choice and I will sign it and post to you

Was at Hospital first thing this morning for a scan. Had to lie under a an x-ray machine for one hour! I nearly went to sleep.
Housework, cooking and present wrapping for the rest of the day.
Fishing with my eldest tomorrow so hopefully a trout for supper! (And no, veggie, I am not using my Son for bait, before you ask)
TTFN time for bed.

Now why, in your wildest dreams, Spec, would you think we would be sending a card a card to you??

Happy Monday
On a day when the rain hasn't stopped and the news seems to get worse by the hour, there's one light on the horizon............. I don't need to panic buy lettuce.
Any one want some, going cheep, wink, wink.

I've just had a very strongly positive lateral flow COVID test. It will have to be confirmed with a PCR test now, but I'm pretty sure it's a true positive as I now have a temperature and can't taste my tea very well (despite a liberal sprinkling of hot sauce). I suppose I've had a good run caring for COVID-positive patients all this time without getting it! Still, it's a bit gutting when I've managed to not catch it for so long.
I'm sure I'll be fine as I don't have any risk factors for severe illness but I've seen too many people very, very unwell with it to be complacent. Just have to wait and see what the next ten days bring. Because of the way my on-calls fall, plus the Christmas bank holidays, I was already due to have six out of the next ten days off work and then will be straight back into nights. The bosses will be happy!
Formerly self-contained, but expanding my gardening horizons beyond pots!
