Went to church this morning - not much left for Number 44 though. Picked up some Tabbouleh salad, Hummus, Rice and edamame beans, wholemeal loaf, vegan yogurt, kefir, slice of pork & chicken pie, rosemary (to propagate), carton of milk, tangerines & clementines, sliced runner beans. Seems like a lot more when I write it down!
Had an "interesting" chat with a customer who was recovering from her "shop" with a bacon butty. She told me about a fall she'd had recently that had dislocated her arm from the shoulder. "The top of my arm was right down here" she said, waving her bacon butty at her elbow. Then we got on to how they'd replaced it! Luckily for me, my number was up and I could make an excuse and leave.

IN today came some bread and a fruit loaf.
Also............and I was so excited that I did a little skip, 3 heavy duty trugs. The lady had been given 6 of them by a builder!! I also got to smell her David Austin roses that she'd been given as a retirement present. If she'd offered me a rose or a trug, you can guess which I would have chosen. Apologies to all the flower enthusiasts.

IN today came a radio alarm clock or is it a clock radio alarm or an alarm clock radio??? Anyway, one of those and the magic thing about it is that it resets the time automatically if there's a power cut or when the clocks go forward/back. My old clock radio was a pig to reset when that happened. Also in came 3 bars of soap because you can never have too much free soap.
OUT went some plastic potato planters, grow bag covers and "raised bed" bags that I will never use but the girl who gave me the radio wanted!
Good swap - I won.

IN came some bread - 9 loaves to be precise! I was told to help myself from the bag outside the front door - so I did.
The donor had collected 30 loaves yesterday - that's a lot of food waste - so I thought I'd help save some. The freezer is bulging now.

Just back from an OLIO collection! IN came some halibut fillets (were £13!!), a roast chicken dinner, chicken livers, battered potato slices, salad, stirfry, and lots of prepared fruit - pineapple, melon, apple with peanut butter and some mixed fruit kebabs. Should be enough for a few days meals.

Picked this up yesterday from the charity shop. I’ve just spent the last couple of hours cleaning it up. I’ve got the bits to restore the actual seat in the pipeline. Handy when you know an upholsterer that can tell me exactly what I need and how .
It’s really cool because it swivels, tilts and is high adjustable.
These pictures are before cleaning
Finally finished reupholstering the chair. I’ve done bits every now and then. Today I finished it.
It’s by no means perfect. But I’m happy with the outcome for a first attempt.

Looks good to me, and very comfy. You've got yourself a new chair and a sense of achievement.

IN came various toiletries - shower soap stuff and a selection of herb teas in pretty little tins for which I swapped a bunch of apple mint and lemon balm.

IN came 3 books about minimalism and decluttering. They must be good as the previous owner just got rid of them
OUT went 8 books to the charity stall in Morries. Please note, I now have 5 books less than I did this morning and I hadn't even read the clutter books then.
