Maybe a bit simplistic but I think the odd word out is baritone? Simply because all its letters are different without any doubling up of letters.

I think reflex is a valid answer also - if the plural, baritones, had been used then that would have ruled out reflex as an answer.

The official answer is:- Baritone. It is the only word without a pair of the same vowels.
