Its always a sad time when you clear a GH of your summer plants - today it was the turn of the Aubergines to get the chop. To be frank, I wasn't sad at all - they were the non-event of the year. Pretty flowers and it was fun to see what colour aubergines would emerge, but I haven't been tempted to eat any of them. Aubergines should be glossy purple not wishy washy greeny brown as most of these were.
Next year, remind me not to grow any more..............although Kermit the aubergine is poking his tongue out at me, saying Me, me, me!
