Spent most of my time plucking out little nettles in the first year, really wished I’d sifted it. I always sift now it doesn’t stop the nettles, but it greatly reduces them.My plan was to fill the beds then cover most with membrane until spring, hopefully that should keep a lot back?
If I left it covered for a year before adding to beds it would probably been ok but, who has time for that!!!
