I used to want a Dexter cow, rather than goats as I'm not that partial to goat milk. Needless to say, my thoughts on converting the garage into a cowhouse didn't go down too well - no idea why. 
All I've had in terms of livestock are chickens and bees - that's my limit and, even the bees have gone now.
