Very, very niche, but a chap called Dave Ryding has won the Kitzbuhel World Cup slalom today.
It is the first win of his long career.
He did it on arguably the toughest piste on the tour.
He's the first British World Cup winner in over 50 years.
He's the oldest ever winner of a World Cup slalom.
He learned to ski on a short artificial dry slope in Lancashire and doesn't come from a wealthy winter sports background.
Just goes to show that hard work and dedication can pay off.
(This is ski racing BTW )
