I wear the oldest of the old. Chinos worn through on the thighs (that point has to deal with a lot of stretch, particularly kneeling down) and patched on the inside, tee shirts that I can't bear to oust even when the neck rib is barely clinging on and the cuffs are frayed. For colder days, worn out fleeces that should go in the bin, and footwear is old pairs of leaky walking boots when they are replaced by new ones. It always amazes me that folk have decent clothes to send to charity shops. By the time I've finished with mine, they are only fit for rags......
