Ladies, have you seen the Sarah Raven pinafore? Only £64.95 to wear something that makes you look like you're in a Victorian orphanage!!
https://www.sarahraven.com/gardening-kit...nafore.htm

Mine's an old pair of jeans and a weatherbeaten Cornish Fishing smock that I've had for about 50 years, literally!! Cheap clogs unless I'm digging out brambles when its steel toe capped rigger boots. Brambles can be quite heavy, you know.Wink

Gentleman, if you wear a pinafore, there's no need to be embarrassed. We're all friends here (mostly). Wink
I would think it might get a bit drafty wearing just the pinafore in the summer months.
I wear the same things 24/7 these days - a comfy pair of yoga pants and a t-shirt!

This time of year, when I go out in the garden I also wear my ancient olive-green Crocs (they have ladybirds and daisies in some of the holes) and my new Huw Richards sweatshirt (because it's warm and I threw out my old sweatshirts years ago):

Wow! Just wow! Who in there right mind would spend £64 on something that makes you look like orphan Annie or in some cases like your wearing a poorly fitting marquee?

I’m a wellies & work/cargo trousers kind of girl. Only the top changes depending on the weather.
Aprons can look OK but hate to see ample ladies wearing lycra!
My steel capperrs are as comfortable as slippers and quite waterproof, which they need to be when I am gardening on a swamp Rolleyes .

I usually wear the oldest clothes I can find which pretty much sums up the majority of my wardrobe, if I had one. Confused

Shorts are obligatory in summer though as its easier to wash knees than wash trousers. Rolleyes If i have no digging to do I sometimes wear sandals.

......Oh, I dunno about that. Rolleyes
Jeans or sweat pants and jumper for me, old ski trousers on the coldest days. Very occasionally shorts and t-shirt in Summer. I agree that ample ladies and lycra don't mix but neither do ample gentlemen (thankfully a much rarer sight). The pinafore reminds me of my mother's futile attempts at keeping me clean on a Sunday as a child. I really cannot believe anyone would choose to wear it.
Joggers tee shirt Tottenham fleece(25 plus years old) wellies most of the year.

Shorts tee shirt sandals when the weather permits
Another pet hate is what are locally known as benefit pants...poorly fitting jogging bottoms
