2020/21 - What's made you happy today?

A blackbird flew out of the soft fruit bed.
I said to her, in my best voice, "You norty bird, I know what you're eating!".
Then I noticed her perfect nest, about 2 foot above ground, one side against the chicken wire fence, probably resting on a fruit bush of some kind.
The icing on the cake - 4 beautiful blue eggs.
I'll stay away from the area until she's finished with it - she can eat as much fruit as she likes.

I had a sneaky look at the nest whilst checking out the gooseberries. Saw one gaping beak on a feathered baby. There may have been more but I didn't want to disturb them. Pleased that at least one of them has survived.
