Also a big bag of mixed, loose seeds! They were in a box of out of date seed packets and I made some comment about liking the challenge of trying to grow mixed seeds - the bag was pushed into my hands and I was told to take them away and try to grow them! There are lots of beans, some peas, squash and sunflowers and some small seeds lurking in the bottom of the bag. When I'm at a loose end I'll try to sort them into types.
Out of interest - the bag weighs over 250g.
......but you don't like/grow big tomatoes! Burlesque are BIG. I didn't say I was going to grow them!

FREE today - 60+ packets of seed that I think, came from one of these https://gardenpack.co.uk/product/grow-yo...-box-bckp/
When I saw these being given away, I didn't expect so many packets - I also expected just a few seeds in each packet but they seem to be quite generously filled. More than those T&M gift boxes that I was sucked into buying cheaply a few years ago!
They'd make a good starter pack for a new gardener - and a moneyless old one.

Goldmine, that was. I find it amazing that they're being given away.

I'm guessing that they were an unwanted present? Some of the packets had been opened - lettuce, radish, beans and peas. Maybe easy seeds for someone to start? The expiry date is 12/26. There were 70 packets (including 2 x Red Cherry tomatoes).
As far as I can tell, there are no F1 seeds. Highlights - Beth Alpha cucumber, Courgettes, Black Beauty and Golden Delight, and an Oxheart Striped tomato.
No Kale which surprised me - maybe they've been sown already?
EDIT There was a list of the seeds - some crossed out (28 actually). Including Curly Kale , Melons, Sweet corn, Pumpkin and 10 flowers. I didn't receive the Crossed out ones. I've been robbed.

I took a box of annual flower mixture to the allotment but it was too sticky and too cold to sow them yet.

A bag of compost for sowing my tomatoes later this month and a huge tub of chicken manure pellets.

A bag of compost. My home made compost seems to be killing everything, so I thought I ought to sow in something reliable.

Today I was in home bargains and picked up about half a dozen seed packets of mixed flower seeds for 59p each. From memory I got mixed annuals, mixed half hardy annuals, mixed flowers for scent, mixed wild flowers, mixed flowers for bees and a scatter box of cottage garden flowers seeds which was £1.19 I think?
