2026 - Seeds & Stuff I've bought/acquired today - Veggie - 01-01-2026 New thread for 2026. 2025 thread - https://gardenandgossip.org/showthread.php?tid=2259 RE: 2026 - Seeds & Stuff I've bought/acquired today - JJB - 02-01-2026 All the seed offers on atm are very tempting, but they're all from T&M and its derivatives, perhaps not so enticing. RE: 2026 - Seeds & Stuff I've bought/acquired today - JJB - 17-01-2026 I've bought some seeds today. I took advantage of some of the seed sales at 89p per pkt and bought 2 dwarf sunflowers, onions, tomatoes and snow peas. Also a spur of the moment purchase off Ebay a tomato Lucid Gem and courgette Serpente di Sicillia (my trombas haven't been too successful recently so this might be an alternative) . I don't need more tom or courg seeds but we have to feed the addiction. It's going on the profit/loss sheet. RE: 2026 - Seeds & Stuff I've bought/acquired today - Bren - 18-01-2026 On the 15th I bought my Charlotte seed potatoes from the corn merchants as usual. RE: 2026 - Seeds & Stuff I've bought/acquired today - Small chilli - 25-01-2026 I acquired some plant pots today. They are brilliant [attachment=8655] . I put a MFB next to them so you can see the size. My mint will enjoy life in one of them. RE: 2026 - Seeds & Stuff I've bought/acquired today - Veggie - 25-01-2026 They're huge!! Tree pots? The black ones with handles look like the 30 litre pots I use in the GH. They're great for carrying vulnerable plants in and out of the GH. I can get more if I want them. I think I can see some squash enjoying living in them as well. RE: 2026 - Seeds & Stuff I've bought/acquired today - Veggie - 25-01-2026 Just a lucky guess They'd be great for squash or, with some canes, for beans or sweet peas.
RE: 2026 - Seeds & Stuff I've bought/acquired today - Bren - 26-01-2026 I grew courgettes in mine last year, before that it was potatoes. They're good size pots that gets used every year. If there’s enough available. They would be suitable for most veg I think. Could very comfortably grow 5 brassicas in one of them . Probably 7 without too much fighting for space. Lots of thinking to be done. |
